With the 3D live view feature, you can view 3D files without additional software, freely control the model, and customize the display.
3D live view is available in the "Files" module in both the detail view and the full-screen view of a 3D graphic file.

Using 3D live view
Open the "Files" module.
Select a supported 3D file (e.g., GLB or STL) and open it in the detail view.
3D live view starts automatically in presentation mode with a rotating preview.
Click on the button "Full-screen view"
in the toolbox to display the model in full-screen mode.
Control 3D view
You can control the perspective of the model in both detail and full-screen view:
Free 360° rotation:
Click on the preview and hold down the left mouse button. Drag the mouse in the desired direction to rotate the graphic.
Change position:
Hold down Ctrl + Shift (Windows) or CMD + Shift (Mac) and drag the mouse.
Select a specific side:
Click on the surfaces or corners of the 3D cube in the menu at the bottom left.
Rotate sideways:
Use the arrow keys "<" and ">" in the menu at the bottom right.
Zoom:
Use the mouse wheel or the "+" and "–" buttons in the menu at the bottom right.

Change 3D view
In the menu at the top left, you can also adjust the following changes to the model:
Background color: Click on the white area next to "Background". A pop-up window will open for color selection.
Show grid: Control the visibility of the grid using the checkbox.
Reset camera: Reset to the original perspective.
Save preview: Save the current view as a preview image for the tile view.

3D preview images
Due to technical limitations, it is not possible to generate preview images automatically. Initially, 3D file formats are displayed as a standard icon.
Save a camera view to set it as the preview image.
Supported formats
4ALLPORTAL supports the following formats for 3D preview:
GLB/glTF: Display including textures, animations and camera positions
STL: Texture-free 3D body, e.g., from CAD systems
The system uses the Aspose.3D component for display (more details).
Formats with limited support
Support for the 3DS, OBJ, and DAE formats is limited.
They often do not contain embedded textures or cannot be displayed completely.
