Personal data

Why we ask about your role and level of experience

Updated over a month ago

Purpose of data collection
(Art. 5 (1) (b) GDPR – Purpose limitation)

When you first register, we ask you for:

  • your professional role in the company

  • your level of experience in using this software

This personal information is used exclusively to provide you with context-sensitive help and task-related support directly in the system.

Our goal is to

  • display only the information and recommendations relevant to your tasks

  • provide assistance exactly where you need it

  • not display unnecessary or irrelevant explanations

  • enable efficient and structured use of the software

The data is not used for marketing purposes, performance monitoring, or profiling outside of system support.

Data minimization
(Art. 5 (1) (c) GDPR)

We only collect the following data:

  • the generalized role in the company (selection or free text)

  • the level of experience with this software (3 selection levels)

No other personal data is processed in this context.

The information collected is limited to what is necessary to provide context-sensitive help.

Legal basis for processing
(Art. 6 GDPR)

a) Contract fulfilment (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR)

As a modern software service provider, we are obliged to provide a functional, usable and fit-for-purpose platform.

This includes providing appropriate user support, particularly in the form of context-sensitive help within the software.

Providing targeted assistance is an integral part of our service as a software manufacturer. Processing the above-mentioned data is necessary to provide this functionality.

b) Legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR)

In addition, we base the processing of data on our legitimate interest in:

  1. providing an efficient, user-centered, and modern software environment

  2. reducing unnecessary support requests through context-sensitive help offerings

  3. ensuring the proper use of our platform

This interest is in line with users' expectations of modern software.

A careful weighing of interests has shown that users' interests or fundamental rights that are worthy of protection do not outweigh this interest.

Storage period

The data will be stored for the following period:

  • as long as a user is active in the system, or

  • as long as a company is a contract customer

If your user account is deleted or the collaboration with your company ends, this data will be automatically removed.

We regularly check whether this data is still necessary for the purposes mentioned above. If this is not the case, it will be deleted.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Information (Art. 15 GDPR)

  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)

  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)

  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

  • Objection to processing pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)

No automated decisions

The information is used exclusively for rule-based assistance control within the system.

No automated decisions are made for marketing purposes or with legal effect.
