How to login to your 4ALLPORTAL

Updated over 5 months ago

Open the website of your 4ALLPORTAL (e.g. 'example.4allportal.cloud').

Depending on what your company's IT department has set up for you, you will see one of the following login methods on the login screen to log in to the system:

  1. Login with username and password

  2. Login with an identity provider

  3. Automatic login (SSO)

Your IT administrator or project manager will usually tell you which login details or method you should use to log in to the 4ALLPORTAL. In some systems more than one login method is available.

If User Registration has been set up, you will need to register before you can log in for the first time.

If Terms of Use have been set up, you may have to confirm them before logging in for the first time, depending on your company's requirements.

Login with username and password

If you have received personal credentials for the 4ALLPORTAL or if you can log in with your computer login data.

  1. Enter credentials

    • Enter your username and password in the corresponding fields.

  2. Save credentials (optional)

    • Tick the 'Save credentials' checkbox to save your login details in the browser.

    • Note: Deleting your browser history and cookies will remove your saved credentials.

  3. Click on 'Log in' to log in.

Login with an identity provider

If your 4ALLPORTAL is connected to an identity provider (a central directory service), you can login with the user data stored there.

Depending on your provider connection, you have one or more of the following login options:

Preset provider

With a preset (default) provider, you will see an information (e.g. 'Login with SAML') instead of the login screen with username and password fields.

  1. Click on 'Log in' to log in.

  2. Forwarding (optional)

    • Depending on your connection, you may be redirected to your identity provider's login page to sign in centrally.

    • If you have already done this, this step can be skipped.

Provider to chose from

In addition to the fields for entering your username and password (or in place of them), you will see one or more buttons with providers to chose from.

  1. Select

    • Select the provider and click the button to sign in directly via that provider.

  2. Forwarding (optional)

    • Depending on your connection, you may be redirected to your identity provider's login page to sign in centrally.

    • If you have already done this, this step can be skipped.

Provider '4ALLPORTAL'

If the '4ALLPORTAL' button is available, e.g. in addition to a preset provider, it will usually take you to the login with username and password.

Automatic login (SSO)

If an identity provider with Single Sign-On (SSO) is connected to your 4ALLPORTAL, you will be automatically logged into the system via the identity provider as soon as you access the URL of your 4ALLPORTAL.

Forwarding (optional)

Depending on your connection, you may be redirected to your identity provider's login page to sign in centrally.

If you have already done this, this step can be skipped.

User Registration

Some companies offer users the possibility to register themselves on the 4ALLPORTAL.

On the login screen you will find the note 'No account yet? Register here'.

Registration is easy and only takes three steps! 😊

1. Fill in your details

  1. In the note 'No account yet? Register here' click on the 'Register here' link.

  2. A three page registration form will open. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

  3. Enter your personal details on pages 1 and 2.

  4. On page 3, choose a username with which you want to log in to the 4ALLPORTAL. Please note:

    • In some systems, the username is preset to be the same as the e-mail address.

    • The username cannot be changed later.

  5. On page 3, choose a password you want to use to log in to the 4ALLPORTAL. All password policy check marks must be green for your password to be accepted.

  6. Optional: If your company has specified that you must first approve the Terms of Use, you will need to accept them before completing registration.

  7. Click on 'Complete registration'.

2. Confirm email address

  1. You will receive an email from the 4ALLPORTAL immediately after registration. It contains a personalised link to confirm your email address.

  2. Open the email and click on 'Confirm email address'.

3. Wait for registration approval

  1. Your request is automatically submitted to the system and your administrator is notified.

  2. As soon as the administrator has checked and approved your registration, you will receive a confirmation email.

  3. You can now log in to your 4ALLPORTAL with your username and password. πŸ’ͺ

Please note

You can change all your personal details after you have registered. Just go to your personal settings.

Exception: Username

Your username cannot be changed. It is only used for logging in - your first name is used to display your user in the system.

Terms of Use

Some companies may want you to read the individual Terms of Use and accept them, if necessary, before you log in for the first time.

On the login screen you will find a link such as 'Terms of Use' or 'Terms and Conditions'.

The link will take you to the Terms of Use, which you will need to read and accept, depending on your company's requirements, before you can successfully log in.

Troubleshooting

The login screen does not appear

If the login screen does not appear, you will usually see a message about what is currently happening in the background:

Loading animation with waiting message

Before the login screen appears or you are automatically logged into the system, you will see a loading screen with an animated logo. If it takes longer to load, you will see a message:

  • After 5 seconds: 'Please wait...' below the logo if smaller files are still loading.

  • After 20 seconds: Additional message if loading time is slow, e.g. due to missing files.

Maintenance mode

If the system is being maintained or rebooted by IT, you will see the maintenance mode animation. You cannot log in at this time.
